This seasonal shift invites us to journey beyond the renewal of Spring into the Aliveness of a Light-filled Summer to support transformation.

As we drift from the peaceful meadows of Spring and into the awakened active days of Summer, Mother Nature and Mother Earth greet us with longer days, shorter nights, deep orange sunsets, dances of fireflies, and enlivened expressions of vitality.

Summer is a yang season, in that it invites us to become motivated and enriched with productivity. Summer, like Spring, calls us to empower our masculine energies with productive movement that inspires our vitality and gifts us the motivation to move forward in life. This shift brings a harmonious balance between the inner and outer worlds.

During our time together we will enjoy:

  • Co-Creating Saffron Lavender Lemonade (bring a Mason Jar if you would like to take some home)

  • Movement medicine of Yin Yoga to balance the Yang energy of the Summer

  • Guided Meditation and Inner Resourcing

Join The Rooted Self community for an evening of quietude that inspires the Soul to design and co-create intentions for Mindfully Living 2024. Our evening together serves as an intentional invitation for the Soul-compass to guide you into greater congruence with your sacred and authentic Self. As you expand your Spiritual sails, you’ll embark on an adventure of hope and possibility through the passageways of this ever flowing life.

During our time together we will share inspiring connections centered within creative exploration of what the Self wishes to collaboratively birth into the Universe for 2024. We will find expression of this energy through:

  • Guiding Herbal Wisdom

  • Mood Board creation for your 2024 design

  • Oracle Card inspiration

  • Clearing energetic pathways through Yin Yoga

*All materials will be provided for in-person attendees. A list is provided for those attending via Zoom.

A brief note about resolutions vs. intentions: Intentions are different from resolutions, in that intentions draw from the roots of creative collaborative mindful living, whereas resolutions seek to fix or resolve something currently not in alignment.

The annular solar eclipse gifts a stunning “ring of fire”. Its energy offers us a moment to pause, reflect, and become mindful observers of anything we would like to transform or attune within our lives to fulfill a greater sense of Purpose and Oneness.

Transformation is an ongoing process within our human journey, a journey made up of consistent release, renewal, endings, beginnings, and alignment to the here and now. Eclipses remind us that this journey is natural and that the entire Universe is moving alongside us. As the Earth, Moon, and Sun align we have the Divine support needed to take this time to move and shine beyond our edges so that we may continue to weave our Light into the Collective and the fabric of the Universe.

Join us in community on October 14th, 2023 for an incredible experiential eclipse journey interwoven with:

  • cacao circle & blessing

  • drumming

  • labyrinth meditation walk during the eclipse peak

  • reflection & ritual

  • ecstatic yoga dance

Self-abandonment can be compared to a garden that is never watered, or if it is, it is watered half-heartedly. A Soul desiring to be seen, valued, loved, worthy, but its thirst never fully quenched. Self-abandonment is a paradoxical use of one’s energy that ignores their Universal Truth of being lovable, worthy, deserving, and valued.

This empowering workshop supports you in watering your inner garden. It invites you to lean in and turn towards yourself. To see yourself as you were designed to be seen. It invites you to be a compassionate listener and empathetic responder to the Self. Though you can’t change the past or how things evolved to this point, you can design how the rest of your life relationship to/with Self unfolds.

Together, we will take a slow walk along the path of self-nurturing. During our time you will learn to reconstruct your perspective of self-worth, value, and esteem. You will be guided in having sacred conversations with the inner Self that empowers you to recognize, accept, and allow your needs to be honored. You will learn new language for how to speak to and with Self. You will move through inner discovery to expand awareness of your boundaries and how to implement them with greater ease while acknowledging you are worthy of such.

Additionally, we will awaken the following resources:

  • Emotional vocabulary

  • Needs Awareness & How to Communicate Them

  • Values Garden

  • Compassionate Resourcing

  • Tools to Guide Emotion Release within the Body Land

After our time together you may notice your inner garden growing:

  • Better understanding of your needs

  • Compassionate responding to your needs

  • Harmonized relationships

  • Sense of self-worth / self-value / self-esteem

  • Soothing salve for angst, depressive energy, or irritability

  • Lightheartedness

So, lean in, turn towards, my friend. It doesn’t always have to be this way. You are designed for change!

A Three Part Series to Guide You In Transmuting Codependency into Self-Worth, Love, & Value

Codependency is the imbalanced state of placing another person’s needs above your own in effort to acquire a sense of worth, love, or value / purpose. It can block our ability to experience unconditional love within ourselves and receive it from others. This imbalanced state can also affect our energy, minds, and overall well-Being, congesting our natural flow.

When we are willing to take the brave journey towards compassionate self-understanding, we can begin to inspire a refreshing new way of approaching relationships, both with ourselves and others, that expands freedom and honors our true nature. In doing so, we awaken a life filled with rich, nurturing, empowering opportunities for relationships within and between.

What you can learn in our time:

  • What codependency is and how it affects the relationship with Self and others.

  • Learning the hidden gifts beneath codependency and how to attune them for balanced relationships.

  • Tools to support you in drawing your energy and power back towards self-worth, self-value, and self-love.

  • Nourishing, restoring, and re-balancing depleted chakras, meridians, and energy centers affected by codependency.

  • Language, tools, and practices that empower interdependence.

    Our Journey

Week One : The Landscape of Codependency. Why Nothing Can Grow Here!

Week Two : Harvesting the Hidden Treasures Buried Beneath Codependency.

Week Three: Nourishing, Re-balancing, Restoring. Planting New Seeds.

This class uniquely interweaves the teachings of yoga and social sciences into the mind-body approach of living a full and expansive life. Through this workshop there will be gentle restorative yoga offered alongside guided meditations to deepen and integrate your teachings.

As we lovingly release Autumn we gently step into the embrace of the Winter season and all of the nourishment it brings for the mind, body, and Soul. Mother Nature, alongside Mother Earth, inspire the very sustenance our respective bodies need to both nurture and nourish through the chilly days and longer nights.

Aligning ourselves to each season is a harmonic way to connect with the natural world while also providing the most supportive environment for the overall well-being of the body. The upcoming seasonal shift invites us to release the flowing breezes of Autumn and retreat towards our inner sanctuary for a season of quiet rest.

Winter is a yin season, in that it invites us to slow, inwardly reflect, and allow. It governs the yin organ of the kidney and requests our preservation of energy, our Qi, our Prana, so that we maintain harmonious balance with the Universe and the yin-yang energies of the Natural World.

We are multi-dimensional Beings embodying internal subtle layers that ripple into one another. These layers, in yoga philosophy, are called Koshas “sheaths” and each one respectively represents an aspect of ourselves physically, emotionally, energetically, knowingly, and spiritually. They are an internal compass for how we navigate outer world and care for our inner world.

In our society we can spend much time looking outside of ourselves for nurturing, approval, direction, value, and worth, only to find that it doesn’t feel like enough. We may leave these outer experiences still feeling unlovable, not good enough, uncertain, mis-valued, or unworthy. This five week journey invites you to release this pattern and relieve yourself from the unpleasantness of constantly seeking outside of Self. You will be called to turn inward to witness all that is available to and for you. Along the way you will be inspired to nourish your inner well, with awareness, resource, and love. Illuminating the truth that you are far more than you give yourself credit for.

Together we will explore:

  • What the Kosha aspects of the subtle body are and how to connect with them through movement, breath, the five senses, food, self-reflection, and soul-essence.

  • Why understanding the layers of Self are helpful and can serve as a compass for navigating this experience called life.

  • How to safeguard and boundary each layer of your inner Self in effort to keep your inner resource free from what does not serve you.

  • How to re-pattern your approach to your inner Self and release narratives, beliefs, or limitations that cause you to avoid going inward.

  • When to use this teaching and its resources as a guiding support and how to apply them.

Please do not let finances be a barrier to your healing journey or health and well-BEing. Pay-as-you-grow Payment Plan is available. This ticketing option requires a payment plan agreement with a valid credit / debit card to be charged each Saturday through the workshop. After registration this agreement will be emailed to you.

Make the journey alongside The Rooted Self as we walk with Mother Nature into Fall.

When we are fully aligned with the Natural World, especially as the seasons change, we are able to experience the abundance of our life force energy and harvest its gifts for our highest good.

This year, you are invited to restore your balance between the abundance of what you choose to give and what you allow yourself to receive.

During our time together, we will re-establish a mindful, balanced, connection between the mind, body, and Soul, bringing all aspects of our inner landscapes into alignment for the season to come.

We will share the following on our journey into Fall:

  • A guided ritual that inspires harmony between abundance of giving and receiving.

  • A guided meditation and self-reflection practice to clear the energy pathways of our relationship with Self, relationships to/with others, as well as our daily living.

  • A quiet yin yoga practice that prepares our inner pathways for the season ahead. Autumn invites us to nourish the lungs and the large intestines to generate optimal life flow.

We will seal our practice with a tea ceremony that further inspires and honors our inner autumning.

Consciously closing the gap between ourselves, Mother Earth, and Mother Nature through the ancient wisdom of yoga.

How is your inner climate and how do you adapt?

This Seva offering elevates our consciousness by inspiring climate awareness and the importance of taking our practice off of the mat. Together we will dedicate our practice to a shifting climate and the adjustments Mother Earth and Mother Nature are making to adapt. On our journey, we may witness that we too have resource to adapt to an ever changing climate within and around.

Yoga is about more than physical asana (poses), breath, and meditation. It is a lifestyle that is meant to be practiced both on and off the mat. When we choose to view the climate through the lens of our practice we can begin to close the gap of separateness between ourselves, Mother Nature, and Mother Earth, inspiring a deeply compassionate response to an ever-changing climate and our role to protect it.

Aligning the Body with Summer

Saturday, July 9th 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. I Via Zoom

Align your Vibe Members - Free

Non-Members : Early Bird through July 3rd $120.00 / Individual

After July 3rd $150.00 / Individual

Summer is known for being the "lazy days", as school is out of session, schedules are a bit more loose, and living waters speak to our Soul. It is a time of picnics, bbq's, hammocks, and fireflies, and though it may not seem like a season that asks our bodies of much, it definitely does.

Aligning ourselves to each season is a powerful way to connect with the natural world while also providing the most empowered environment for our bodies overall well-being. The summer season asks our bodies to release excess heat, offer cooling, provide hydration, and encourage lifestyle experiences that lift, yet ground, our energy. All to keep us in harmonious balance with the Universe and the yin-yang energies around / within us.

This workshop provides you with the tools and guidance to align your body with the season of summer. Through the ancient practices of yoga using Yin Theory, and Ayurveda, yoga's sister science, we will guide the body towards movement, nourishment, and a lifestyle that flows with the energy of summer.

This integrative experience will gift you:

  • EDUCATION: Awareness and understanding of which organs are most in need of support through the summer season and how to support them.

  • MOVEMENT: Yin postures to guide the body towards cooling and restoring internal harmony to the outer world.

  • NOURISHMENT: Nourishing foods that support the internal landscape and its overall well-being, specifically for the summer season, and how they are beneficial.

  • LIFESTYLE: Lifestyle practices that balance us through long days, shorter nights, and encourage routines that support balance and and understanding of why its important to integrate such practices.

We will be preparing a brief meal with one another after our yoga practice. The ingredients are listed below and the actual recipe will be listed in your confirmation email:

  • quinoa (about 1 c. cooked) *prepare ahead of time and let cool

  • 1 bunch of cilantro

  • Super Greens blend, spinach, or salad blend of your choice

  • cherry tomatoes

  • avocado chunks

  • chia seeds (optional)

R I S E ! Empowering the Sacred Feminine

Saturday, July 16th 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. I Via Zoom

Dedication Practice (Free)

Join The Rooted Self in dedicating your practice to the Sacred Feminine within each of us and our sisters within the collective.

The Sacred Feminine energy represents our expression of nurturing, compassion, and creativity. It is bold, beautiful, and brave and safeguards our fierceness. It ignites our inner power, invigorates choice, and establishes boundaries around our inner temple.

As women in a sociopolitical climate where these energies are being challenged, it is our time to RISE! I invite you to join me and other bold, courageous Sisters in nourishing our Sacred Feminine. Together, we will fill our inner wells, remember our birthrights as Beings, and co-create a collective resilience for the journey ahead.

We will begin our time with a beautiful ritual where we call on the three mothers: Mother Earth, Mother Nature, and Mother Moon to guide us. We will then journey through empowered movement, inspiring mantra, and uplifting meditation.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a trauma sensitive class, which means that you are asked to please arrive with your cameras on. Once we shift into our practice your camera may be turned off if you choose.

This is a sacred space of healing and activating energy. Recording of the practice is not allowed. Thank you for honoring the sacredness and privacy of all Beings who attend.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This class is part of The Rooted Self's Seva Project. The Seva Project empowers women to dedicate their practice to a cause that empowers ahimsa (non-violence), healing, and inspiration for all feminine Beings. Seva translates to "selfless service" and is an important part of a balanced yoga lifestyle.

Summer Solstice Celebration

Saturday, June 18th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. I Via Zoom

Donation

Ah, Summer Solstice! A time when Mother Nature calls us to be inspired by the light of the sun.

Summer Solstice provides us with another opportunity to follow the rhythm of the natural world. A rhythm that inspires us to continue to grow, evolve, and transform throughout our life journey.

This year, during Summer Solstice Celebration, we are deepening our roots and reaching towards what nourishes us, while harvesting the light of the sun to explore what inspires our life design and the landscape of Self.

Through ritual we will pay homage to Mother Nature and her guiding wisdom, through reflection we will stretch into our minds and gather an abundance of wisdom for our forward journey, and through movement we will witness our innate ability to transform.

During our shared sacred time you will be invited to create a Summer Solstice altar, which we will adorn and bless together. I invite you to make this your own; however, here are some materials to consider for our experience:

  • fresh flowers of any type

  • a brightly colored cloth or piece of fabric to cover your chosen altar stand / table

  • a piece of wood, small tray, stand, etc. that you can create your altar upon (I use a scrap piece of wood)

  • a candle

  • smudge (palo santo, sweetgrass, rosemary, juniper, or lavender)

  • any other summer item that speaks to you

  • OPTIONAL - feather

  • OPTIONAL - summer herbs (mint, basil, lavender, rosemary, thyme, oregano)

  • OPTIONAL - summer healing stones (citrine, moonstone, aquamarine, green agate)

You will be encouraged to keep this altar up through the Summer season.

Inspiring Inclusivity

Friday, June 24th 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. CST I Via Zoom

Dedicate your Practice (Free)

The Rooted Self invites you to dedicate your practice towards the intention of inclusivity and ahimsa as we come together to celebrate and honor PRIDE month.

Ahimsa is one of the eight yoga limbs that encourages harmonious living. Ahimsa itself guides us in non-violence towards others. It calls our vibration up to be compassionate, kind, and loving towards all Beings regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, and in this case, gender / orientation.

During this time of sacred connection and dedication, you are invited onto your mat to enjoy a mudra of compassionate connection, a loving-kindness meditation, and a gentle yet empowering practice designed for beginners.

Together we will explore ahimsa through all of the colors of the rainbow via the chakras and "charge" each one with the essence of love, peace, and acceptance.

Creating Sacred Space Within & Around : The Art of Boundaries

Saturday, June 11th I 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. I Via Zoom

$95 Early Bird Through June 1st

After June 1st $125

This Masterclass will guide you in transforming your experience and perspective of boundaries in an effort to manifest inner and outer peace.

Boundaries are a gift to the mind, body, and Soul. They are also a compassionate gift to others. Inwardly, they safeguard our Light and provide an inner refuge where we can retreat to alchemize what needs to be healed. They create a sacred space for Soul to receive nurturing, support, and comfort.

On the outer edges of our Being, boundaries are a compassionate gift to others that lovingly guide them in understanding where we end and they begin alongside providing a unique blueprint for how we wish to be treated.

In our shared time we will explore the art of creating boundaries through experiential creative processes, gentle movement, breathwork, and educational insight. Together we will transmute the assumption that boundaries have to be harsh, create separateness, or impose limits upon ourselves or others. We will gently unfold our awareness around how to navigate times when boundaries are not honored and techniques for how to continue forward. We will expand the awareness of weaving these beautiful gifts into the layers of our inner to outer Being with the sole outcome of harmonizing our frequency.

As we make this journey you may find that inner peace will gently flow from the sacred roots of your internal Being towards your expansive canopy of Self and beyond. I look forward to creating with you.

Preparing the Body for Spring

Saturday, April 2nd 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. I Via Zoom

$85 / Individual

As Mother Nature shifts from Winter into Spring, so too must our bodies.

Just as Mother Earth, our inner landscape may have experienced some stagnation, dormancy, slower moving energy, and residual dampness during the Winter season. Slowing down and sinking in is necessary for that time of year; however, it is important we don't remain in that energetic space in effort to maintain body harmony and overall well-being.

In this Masterclass, learn how you can invigorate the body, mind, and Spirit in preparation for Spring through experiential practice, education, and movement.
